GETTING STARTED
Connect
Begin with a free phone consultation with our licensed SLP. During this initial conversation, we'll discuss your concerns, answer any questions, and determine possible next steps, which may include an evaluation, therapy, resource sharing, referrals, or time to consider your options.
Evaluate
If your child has not had a speech-language evaluation in the past year, we recommend starting with a comprehensive assessment. This includes observing your child’s speech and language abilities, gathering detailed history, and utilizing standardized tools to identify specific needs.
Treat
Our therapy sessions are engaging and tailored to your child's unique interests, strengths, and needs. We use a child-centered approach with one-on-one therapy, as well as caregiver education, to build effective and meaningful communication skills within a natural, playful environment.
Consulting for Parents
Dear parent and caregiver, you are your child’s most valuable teacher. Not only do you know your child best, but you also have the greatest impact on their day-to-day well-being. At CCT, parents and caregivers are essential partners in therapy.
CCT is here to compassionately meet you where you are and offer resources, education, and practical strategies tailored to your unique goals. Together, we may explore topics such as:
Supporting speech, language, and social-emotional development in everyday routines
Navigating school-based services and understanding Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
Developing effective tools to support emotional regulation, self-regulation, and co-regulation within your family system
Harnessing the power of relationships to strengthen the caregiver-child bond
CCT's goal is to empower you in the role of parent or caregiver so that you can confidently support your child’s growth and development. Curious to learn more? Let’s start the conversation—schedule a call today!
Frequently Asked Questions

Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) specialize in the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing challenges in children and adults.
In pediatrics, SLPs build, nurture, and maximize your child’s communication skills through engaging child-led, play-based approaches. These strategies are designed to help your child develop greater autonomy and communicate meaningfully and effectively with the world around them.
-
If you're wondering whether your child may benefit from an evaluation, we encourage you to schedule a free consultation with a speech-language pathologist. During this conversation, we’ll discuss your child’s strengths and any potential areas of need.
It's important to keep in mind that every child is unique and develops at their own pace. However, early intervention can make a significant difference in supporting your child’s development. To help guide your decision, you can review general communication milestones here and here, but remember that these are just guidelines.
-
Conscious Curiosity Therapy is an out-of-network provider, meaning we do not bill insurance directly. However, we provide a Superbill for each session, which you can submit to your insurance company for out-of-network (OON) reimbursement.
Before starting therapy, we recommend that you confirm your insurance plan’s out-of-network benefits to ensure you understand your coverage and reimbursement options.
-
Therapy frequency and session length are tailored to your child’s individual needs. Factors such as the type and severity of challenges, family involvement, and financial considerations all influence the frequency and duration of speech therapy sessions.
Typically, sessions are 30 or 45 minutes long and occur 1-2 times per week. However, we will collaborate with you to determine the best approach to support your child’s progress.
-
Supporting your child at home is an essential part of speech therapy. We’ll provide you with tools, strategies, and recommendations to practice at home. Your active participation helps reinforce the skills learned in therapy and fosters growth outside of sessions.

“Beneath every behavior there is a feeling. And beneath each feeling is a need. And when we meet that need, rather than focus on the behavior, we begin to deal with the cause, not the symptom.”
